Devin Woodall, a self taught photographer and videographer saw the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022 and felt compelled to act. Spending the next year preparing he came to report independently from Ukraine in 2023. Devin reported on accounts of civilians kidnapped by Russians, the imprisoned Chornobyl Defenders, as well as on the ground with Ukrainian air defense, the state emergency services of Ukraine, and the current evolution of drone warfare.
Having worked with media outlets both large and small Devin came to the conclusion that in the modern media landscape was failing to cover the stories he saw that needed telling. Devin partnered with Euromaidan Press as well as other award winning professionals in media to put together East/West FM. Devin now spends his time in the field to film and photograph across Ukraine and manage productions.
Anastasiya Paraskevova

Anastasiya Paraskevova, an award winning media professional who has worked with ITV, BBC, CNN, the Economist, and others before coming to help found East/West FM. Anastasiya was a Maidan Revolutionary who successfully protested the Pro-Russian government of Yanukovych and personally helped in tearing down the Lenin statue in the city of Kharkiv.
In 2022 Anastasiya and her sister would travel the besieged city of Kharkiv under artillery fire to help find necessary supplies for the people of her city. Now she works as a volunteer who has independently raised over $700,000 for both civilian and military while helping found East/West FM as head of translation and our cultural producer.
